Around launch time in 2015, Matahari Mall had already a large presence in the brick and mortar department store market in Indonesia, when the initial ecommerce site was built. However no app was available yet for shopper to use their mobile device. Ice House built one of the first large mobile e-commerce site apps for this, running both on iOS as well as Android. A backend was also developed to integrate the payment gateway with the existing e-commerce engine.
